Secret Sounds is one of Australia’s largest and most dynamic music groups, spanning virtually all segments of the music industry.

With a full-time team of 80+, we produce the country’s pre-eminent music & arts festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Download and Falls Festivals, manage our own venues and represent the interests of over 250 leading domestic and international artists across labels, publishing, touring, public relations, commercial rights/sponsorship, artist management and booking agency businesses.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our commercial rights division, as a Partnership Manager.

Role & responsibilities
  • Responsible for the sustained and successful management of the commercial rights inventory of a portfolio of major music properties.
  • Develop new business opportunities with brands, grow existing client relationships and drive revenue to the business through brand partnership acquisition and retention.
  • Carry out the full end to end sales circle, including; sales pitches, responding to briefs, preparing and negotiating contracts.
  • Work in partnership with the Strategic Partnerships Director, to set project goals and develop and implement strategies to ensure they are met.
  • Maintain strong business relationships with brand and agency clients, music industry personnel, and other companies within the group.
  • Work closely with the integration team, preparing a handover on signing of an agreement and generally staying across deals and assisting the integration team where required.
  • Role will involve domestic travel
  • You will be required to work on Secret Sounds music festivals, tours and events from time to time.
  • Flexibility to work outside of usual business hours during peak festival periods including the New Year period
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, working on client strategy and media planning
  • Strong computer literacy –proficiency across Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (must be advanced level) and Keynote
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a manner consistent with the culture and across all level
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Proven experience in delivering sales pitches
  • This role will involve travelling to locations around Australia to work on music festivals, tours and events from time to time. You will need to be available outside of usual business hours during peak festival periods including the New Year period
  • Demonstrated passion for music.
