Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to working towards a cancer-free future. Cancer Council NSW is seeking two enthusiastic and reliable Events Administration and Tele-support volunteers to join the Metro Sydney Team at our Woolloomooloo office. Supported by our Community Relations Coordinators, the role will support Pink Ribbon, Girls Night In and 7 Bridges Walk campaigns. Tasks will include:

  • Contacting supporters by phone to provide fundraising support
  • Responding to incoming enquiries from supporters
  • Assisting with event preparations and stocktake management
  • Coordinating dispatch of event collateral, merchandise and promotional materials
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Entering data efficiently and accurately into our CRM database
  • Work cooperatively with a team of volunteers and Cancer Council staff
  • Cold calling and managing potential prize sponsors
  • Assist with administration duties as required

Our ideal volunteer will have:

  • Excellent phone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Competence in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills
